Japanese anime based on the visual novel by Kinoko Nasu. The first instalment in a trilogy of film adaptations, the story follows teenage mage Shiro Emiya (voice of Noriaki Sugiyama) as he discovers he is part of the Holy Grail War raging in Fuyuki City and decides to fight but must first stop a dangerous shadow threatening the city.
